Bought two of these for myself and the wife as we were going to do some freshwater bass fishing in SA. I have a Lineaeffe beach rod so thought may as well give the "mini" one a go. The wife and I came to the conclusion that if they snapped while fishing its nothing major due to the price. Boy were we surprised. Largest Big mouth bass I landed was 4 & 1/2 pounds, fought like hell and took about 5 min to bring in. The rod held on for dear life and I was expecting it to snap at any moment but no, it handled extremely well. All in all between the wife and I, we managed 80 freshwater bass within a week and the rods made us look like Bass kings infront of the family. Would I suggest buying these, a definite yes. As long as you handle them with care when extending them and pushing them back together, they will last a very fair amount of time. Next test for them will be on the beach for some sea bass:)Ideal to take on holiday but a bit flimsy for every day use, short handle and weak reel fitting.Still usable but one of the eyelets plastic guide was broken in transit or before packaging. I think it was before it was sent as it was not at the end it was one in the middle and therefore not as exposed as the end eyelet/guide.thank youGreat item thanks
